Netflix vs Gamefly
So it seems that the popular movie rental service won't be offering video game rental service after all. This of course leaves Gamefly as the top provider for video game rentals, but don't count Redbox out of the equation just yet. I use to have Gamefly, but it was more of a love / hate relationship with them, I'll either be really pleased or very disappointed. Redbox offers video game rentals for $2 a night, not bad if your doing a quick play through!

Xbox 720 Inbound!
At least that is what IGN has been saying.
IGN 720 Article
So from what we are hearing, The Xbox 720 is set to release in late October or Early November of next year. It will have 6 times the processing power of the Xbox 360 and will already be 20% more powerful than the Wii U in terms of graphics processing power. If your wondering what Processor it will be using, IGN has also stated that it will be using the existing Radeon HD 6670. A different report from Fudzilla also states that the chip may be called "Odan" and has been in mass production since December in 2011.

Microsoft Points to be Replaced
So it seems that Microsoft Points will be a thing of the past. Rumor is, by the end of 2012 Microsoft will be changing the Microsoft Point system in favor of what ever your currency is. If this holds true, you won't have to buy more than you need or have to buy two different amounts, you'll just have to pay the exact cost. I can't complain, but would this change force everyone into entering their Debit/Credit card information? Maybe we'll see some money cards like the PS3 has. Only time will tell, and I'll report back once I hear more
Resident Evil 6 CO-OP
I'm sure we've all played a 2 player co-op game before, and it was only a matter of time before they started making games where 4 players can fight for the same goal. If you've played Gears of War 3, the game even offered 5 player co-op in Horde Mode. But now we have Resident Evil 6, and what better time to increase the CO-OP number to 6? If you've seen the details of Resident Evil 6 it seems Online Co-Op will allow you and 5 of your most trust friends to fight and survive against the zombie horde!
Kingdom Hearts 3DS
If you haven't bought a 3DS yet, and the Zelda special edition didn't do its job selling this handheld, maybe a Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance will finally get you to jump on the band wagon. This will be coming out in Japan on March 29th, I'm not sure about an American release yet, but if I hear anything about it, I will let you all know. I'm not sure about you guys, but a Japan only release didn't stop me from getting a Lighting Edition of the PS3! But I was definitely broke right after LOL!

Max Payne 3 Delayed
With an original street date planned around March 2012, Max Payne 3 has been delayed to May 15 in North America, May 18 is set for an international release. The PC will be set on the 29th of May for North America and June 1 for the rest of the world. If you haven't pre-ordered the game, I think you'll be able to reserve the special edition only for a limited time, and I think that time will end around early April. The special edition sells for a big price of $99.99 and comes with extra things like a Max Payne statue and soundtrack.
Do you guys plan on buying the collectors? |

Vita sells 500,000 in Japan
Released in December, but only in Japan. The Playstation Vita has now sold half a million in Japan. Although I still can't say how well it will do in America, I am one of the few that are going to be getting it on day one! Needless to say, I can't wait!
66 Million Xbox 360
Today Microsoft releases information at how many Xbox 360 consoles are scattered around the world. 66 Million is the magic number, the kinect was able to sell 18 million units, and with a little under 40 million Xbox live subscriptions. If you've ever wondered why there are so many kids online when you play Call of Duty, well there you go!

Playstation Vita + Netflix
If your getting the PS Vita later this year and you have Netflix, your in luck .Netflix seems to be popping up everywhere now. I already have it on my Xbox 360, Playstation 3, my smart TV, and that's not counting the other consoles and TV's I let my family put it on. But with the PS Vita coming out, I see some use for this service on the road, especially if you have the 3G version of the hand held. I for one am getting the wi-fi only version, and don't see any need to install this on there, but if you guys get a 3G Vita and Netflix, let me know how good it runs.
Xperia-S
Say Hello to the new android powered Xperia-S. Now that the partnership with Ericsson is over, this is definitely the first of Sony's smart phone devices. This is a 4.3 inch, 720P screen powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, and has a 12 megapixel camera. There are no slide out controls this time around so don't expect to be playing your PS1 games, unless your okay with touch screen controls. Judging from the picture there may be a front face camera as well as a camera at the back. If you've ever seen or had a Sony Bloggie, I can't help but see some comparisons. I got my phone upgrade coming later this year, so I'm hoping this comes around corner as well. I have no details on price but I will let you all know once I find out.

Are you ready for EVO 2012?
Its time to dust of those joysticks and practice those combos, the game lineup for Evo 2012 has been revealed.
Evo 2012 Game Roster:
- Mortal Kombat 9
- King of Fighters 13
- Soul Calibur 5
- Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
- Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Version 2012
- Street Fighter X Tekken
What do you guys think of the lineup? I went to last years Evo, I didn't compete though, as much as I like fighting games I'm pretty bad at it. But I am excited to see Soul Calibur 5 as well as Street Fighter X Tekken in action.

Steam Rolling
It seems Valve is doing something right, as it has Doubled its Steam sales for the 7th year in a row. I should also mention that they were able to get over 5 million players logging into Steam at once. I'm a Steam user myself, and with all those holiday sales that they had in 2011, its not hard to see how they are doing so well. The past year the service has grown, offering more than 1,800 games for its 40 million registered users. We'll see what 2012 brings, especially with the wait for Half-Life 3.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 Demo
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is almost here, but for those of you who can't wait, you'll get a chance to play the game on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. The demo will be released on January 10 for the PS3 and January 11 for the Xbox 360. We'll be sure to get some game play footage for you as well as our first thoughts on the game. If you try it yourself let us know what you think.
E3 2012 Speculation
Rumor is going out after partners of Microsoft, and Third parties from Sony have implied the fact that new consoles are in fact on the way towards this years E3. Is it hard to believe? With Nintendo well on its way to showing off the Wii U some more, it only seems logical that the other big 2 players in the industry show some teeth with new consoles of their own. The news for me in my opinion is a little bitter sweet. I still see some life in the current generation consoles, aside from the Wii anyway. I guess all we can do is sit and wait.
