Saw this on Kotaku today! Half the homes across America have at least one current generation of consoles. The survey was put together by the Nielsen Group. That number is up 6% from last year.
Personally I think that number will continue to rise as we see consoles being more than just gaming. With netflix, youtube, crackle, and other services starting to mix its way into our consoles, everyone is starting to see the use of having one. Consider this, having an xbox with XBL, would mean that you would be able to play games, watch movies ( both DVD and Netflix ), watch youtube and a couple other stuff. PS3 is easy, you have free online service, netflix, games, Bu-ray, and other stuff as well! Does this mean there will be more girl gamers? I sure hope so!

IPAD 3
March 16 will see the dawn of a new power house Ipad 3. I'm getting this info from Kotaku, which got it from Gizmodo, but it will be using Apple's HD Retina Display and feature 2048x1536 resolution.
Available in black or white, with a price tag starting at $499 for a 16GB, the 32 GB model will be $599 and the 64GB will be priced at $629,$729, and $829 and will run 4G connectivity. Epic games President, Mike Capps, is now saying that the IPAD 3 has more memory and a higher resolution than the Xbox360 and PS3 consoles.
In my opinion though, it is only stronger for now, but when the next gen of consoles come out, I'm sure were in for a treat, mixed in with a little pain coming from your wallet!
