First MW3 DLC

If your getting tired of the maps on MW3 already, then you are in luck!  You can expect the first DLC from MW3 on January 24, 2012.  Robert Bowling tweeted a picture of a map known as "Park"  so I'm guessing the first DLC will possibly be a map pack.  On a side note, it seems that next week will be the launch of the Compete Channel in Call of Duty Elite where players can expect to fight for actual physical prizes!  And for those with iOS and Android devices, you can expect the Call of Duty Elite Mobile App next month, just what I needed, another app that drains my batteries! I'm sure to get it though

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Exclusive

Do you remember when the Final Fantasy series were a Playstation exclusive?  Well, those days are over.  Word has got out that there will be a weapon for the main character in FFXIII-2, Serah.  Its called Azreal, the name of the bow that will no doubtedly help you on your journy as you look for Lightning.  So for the big news, Azreal is going to be exclusive to the Xbox 360 version of FFXIII-2.  Its a DLC going for 80 MS points ($1).  It is said to upgrade your chain bonus and has the power to change the owner's destiny, what ever that means.. guess we'll have to wait and find out.  As far as exclusives for the Playstation, I have not heard or read about it yet, but I will let you guys know once I get that information.

New Mw3 HD Drop zone Gameplay mode

A new mode has been released in Modern Warfare 3 called Drop Zone.  You'll notice right under Standard and Advanced modes that another option is now available, Custom.  Here you can choose to play Drop Zone where you must hold a check point not only to gain points, but to obtain Kill Streaks as well.  With your own personal Kill Streaks Disabled, it is important that you take control of these points to gain an upper hand.  This mode is a bit enjoyable, but I feel the respawn locations are pretty bad, which I'm sure everyone has heard that before.  The points on the map that need to be held move quite frequently keeping the battle moving from side to the other.

Modern Warfare 3 Update

An update is being released fixing several issues and some of which I am thankful for (FMG, Type 95)

Gun Updates

-Assault Rifles with undermounts fire rate normalization
-FMG9 Stopping Power (Single / Akimbo) has been reduced
-Type 95 Stopping Power has been reduced
-ACR issues involving Red Dot and shotgun attachments

Glitch Fix

-No more infinite Laptop Killstreak Glitch
-No more No Recoil Glitch
-No more Hacked bullet-time or High Speed Lobbies
-No more melee jump glitch

Definitely thankful for the update. Especially with the gun balancing. Other things have been patched up which you should expect less lag, improved host migration logic, and no more stat loss when you lose connection from the host / server.

Kobalt's Edit :
~Type 95's Hipfire Spread has been reduced (E.G. If you fire from the hip without aiming down your sights, you'll have less accuracy than before).
~FMG / Akimbo FMG's seem to have reduced damage scaling at a distance. It seems to take about 6 shots at the FMG's max distance to take someone out.
~Shotguns used to add 50% extra pellets per shot when equipped with the Extended Mags attachment. The extra pellets have been removed, the extra rounds still apply.
~Previously, the CM901 Assault Rifle, when equipped with any undermounted attachments (Shotgun, Grenade Launcher), would fire at an increased rate. This has been removed.
